May 20, 2017 10 am to Noon
Are you fascinated with wax painting but are not sure how to get started? Are you looking for ways to add more depth to your art work?
Then join resident artist Marcia Streithorst as she teaches you how to build up layers of wax so you can add texture and depth to your work. We will be using feathers, stamps, stencils and other found objects to leave impressions in the wax. We will cover "Dry brushing" a technique used to add texture to a wax painting. This class will be bird themed so if you have any bird sketches, feathers, or papers you would like to use in you paint please feel free to bring them. I will have some goodies for everyone to share so no worries if you do not. This class is great for students who have some experience with encaustic and beginners.
Workshop will be held on Saturday May 20th at 10 am to noon. All supplies will be included and students will walk away with at least one completed 6x6 .
Class will be $55 at the Artist Loft:
